There are many different aspects
to this beautiful place in Sebastopol, West Sonoma County,
California. First and foremost, it is a 23-acre mostly wild land. We
have invited the wildlife to be at home here and for that reason you
will often be able to see deer, racoon, bobcat, and fox. Playing in
the air currents above the land on a daily basis are the graceful
Turkey Vultures, chatty Red-Shoulder Hawks and reserved, confident
Red-tail Hawks. All visitors are welcome to enjoy the private
walking trails that wind through the forest, oak groves and meadows
on the property.
There is a spacious, turn-key vacation
rental well placed at the top of the property for gorgeous
sunset views. This home is surrounded with lush landscape, including
a small waterfall and fish pond that can be heard from the
wisteria-covered patio and from the kitchen, as well as two of the
bedrooms. The hot tub is nestled beneath majestic oaks where privacy
is assured and views abound. Inside this 3-bedroom, 2-bath house
there are seven comfortable beds (2 queens, 1 double, and 4 twins)
easily sleeping up to ten people. The kitchen is fully equipped and
there are three dining areas from which to choose. In the living
room and Master Bedroom there are bookshelves filled with
interesting books and magazines. To further entertain you, there is
a full video library, stereo, video games, and satellite tv. There
are children's books, puzzles and board games provided, too. Upon
arrival you will drive down your private drive and find the key
waiting for you. Inside you will find a bowl of fresh organic eggs
from our own hens, locally baked organic bread, coffee, tea, butter
and jam. On the table is a complimentary bottle of local wine. The
best of Sonoma County awaits you here!

(Read
about Full House Farm in the New York Times.)
One of the most attractive
activities here at Full House Farm revolves around the horses,
whether you are just visiting or would like to become a regular
student. Harmony With Horses is designed
to educate "kids" from 2-92, with the horses being the
real teachers and Expansion Coach™, Christine Cole, skillfully guiding
students. There are mentoring programs for kids and inspiring,
life-changing programs for adults. This is not your ordinary
horseback riding experience, but rather a journey into the language
of the horse. Christine's 30+ years of coaching is a rare find,
unique in it's depth and insight.
Besides the horses, there are
sheep, chickens, and rabbits. Tours are available for small and
large groups. You can learn about micro-farming, organic foods and
sustainable living. There are picnic facilities if you are planning
just a visit for the day, rather than an overnight stay.
So, whether you are seeking an
outing with your family, a special vacation, or an experience with
horses that matches no other, regardless of the
season there is something here for you. |
